It had been eight years since Staples Center opened their venerable doors in Downtown Los Angeles and nearly that long since a new website was created to promote this iconic sports and entertainment venue. It was time for a new website design to support this highly-visible landmark owned by Anschutz Entertainment Group (AEG).
Our team worked with AEG’s in-house marketing and technical teams to create a new site that would help bring home the excitement of attending a live event. Other than visiting the venue itself, this serves as the single largest brand touch-point.
We discovered that the primary goals of consumers using this tool would be to find events, purchase tickets and figure out parking and designed a solution that easily facilitates these goals, as well as allow AEG flexibility in promoting events. As part of the online re-branding effort, we also redesigned all of the email marketing templates used for the newsletter and event promotions.
